Michael Cera in Infinite Playlist

Superbad's Michael Cera is awesome, yes? We can all agree on that. So, hurrah that he's signed on for Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. Kat Dennings, who played the daughter of Catherine Keener's character in 40 Year Old Virgin, is also appearing. They'll play Nick and Norah respectively, obviously.

The story, based on a novel by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, tells of two recently heartbroken New York teenagers who fall in love while searching for a secret show by their favourite band. Peter Sollet is directing.

That's a really simple premise, but something about that sounds terrific, in a very innocent, slightly '80s kind of way. We don't really remember Dennings from 40 Year Old Virgin, but if she's a match for Cera's talents, then this could be something really fun.
