New 12A rating kicks off today

Today, after years of molly-coddling and repeat viewings of The Rugrats Movie, your wee nippers can glut themselves on mature themes, harsh language and brief sexually-themed nudity. We told you it would happen back in July and now the new 12A rating has finally gone into effect. This means that army of under-twelves, who laid siege to the BBFC after being denied entry to Spider-Man, can open their minds to the depravity and violence that the rest of us have grown to know and love. So, you're eleven years-old, you've just been given access to a wealth of corrupting material, what do you go and see? Well, nothing in fact. The youthful among you will be thoroughly irked to know that absolutely no 12A films are coming out this week, so you're out of luck. Still, if you wait seven days you can see Matt Damon beating people senseless in The Bourne Identity and the week after you'll have your pants scared off by Mel Gibson's alien experiences in Signs. If that doesn't keep you up for weeks then we don't know what will. Enjoy!
