AAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!! No, seriously, AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHH!!!!!
CHUD is reporting that McG is in talks to direct Terminator 4. Now, we actually thought the first Charlie's Angels was ok, in a completely brainless bubblegum way, but does the director of those movies and the straight-to-DVD We Are Marshall have what it takes to make a film that should feature the Terminator war we've all been waiting for?
The fourth film, which CHUD's source says is planned to go into production pre-strike and has a finished script, would take place – spoilers ahead for those who haven't seen Terminator 3 (a film that, according to an instant straw poll of the office, only I enjoyed) – after the apocalypse that John and Kate failed to prevent. John should be gathering the remaining humans to fight off the army of Skynet robots in a huge battle. Basically this is the war that's been briefly glimpsed in the previous movies and should serve as the origin of the Arnie-shaped Terminator we know and aren't sure whether to love or run from. This needs to be good.
Would you give the reins to McG? If not, then who?
