Jude Law may well be wincing at the litany of damning reviews for his current 'home-made' pic Final Cut - "The worst type of v ité arse", said Empire - but the darling of Primrose Hill looks set to redeem himself with the forthcoming film from Anthony 'English Patient' Mingle.
The Talented Mr Ripley stars our Jude as Dickie, a rich brat who befriends Matt Damon, aka Mr Ripley. Basking in Mediterranean sunshine with lashings of psychological warfare thrown in for good measure, the movie follows Mr Ripley and his desire to become Dickie, who unlike Ripley, had looks, wealth and a stunning girlfriend (Gwyneth Paltrow).
