Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) is back – and back sooner than we suspected. After very nearly stealing the show in Daredevil's second season, The Punisher gets a Netflix show all of his own, and in this brand new trailer, it's finally revealed that all thirteen episodes of the show will arrive on 17 November. Take a look below.

Expanding on the first full trailer that dropped last month, this new trailer gives us a sense of the origins for Frank's punishing, showing his military past and his eventual realisation that he was being set up as a hitman-for-hire. It hints at back-and-forth timelines, covering Frank's early life and his later years as a violent vigilante. Plus, you know, lots of shooting, obviously.

Bernthal leads a cast that includes Deborah Ann Woll (reprising her role from Daredevil and The Defenders as Karen Page), Ben Barnes, Jaime Ray Newman, Ebon Moss-Bacharach and Amber Rose.

Lock and load: season 1 of The Punisher arrives in full on Netflix from 17 November.
