With shooting pencilled in for March in Budapest, the elements of the Marvel/Disney+ series Moon Knight are really starting to come together. While Oscar Isaac is confirmed to star, we also now know that May Calamawy is aboard.

What with Moon Knight coming from Marvel and Disney, we naturally know nothing about who Calamawy might be playing. We do know, at least, that Isaac will be Moon Knight, aka Marc Spector, a mercenary who has numerous alter egos – cabbie Jake Lockley and millionaire playboy Steven Grant — in order to better fight the criminal underworld. But later he was established as being a conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Most recently, the character was a consultant who dresses in all white and goes by the name Mr. Knight.

Jeremy Slater led the writing team for the series, while Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are directing the first season's episodes.
