Marvel's Inhumans will be reaching IMAX cinemas in September, about two weeks before the television series launches. Now, four months from that debut, the PR machine is kicking in with a new trailer and image.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965, the Inhumans were an outgrowth of experimentation conducted by the alien Kree early on in the Kree-Skrull War that took place millions of years in the past. Creating a station on Uranus (yeah, we said your anus — get it out of your system), the Kree discovered sentient life on Earth and became intrigued by its genetic potential. Notes Wikipedia, "The Kree began to experiment on Earth's then-primitive Homo sapiens to produce the genetically advanced Inhuman race. Their goal was... to create a powerful mutant race of soldiers for use against the Skrulls." Although successful, the experiments were abandoned due to a genetic prophecy that forsaw it leading to the demise of the Kree people. The Inhumans survived.

runaways

Earlier this week, Marvel also released the first image from their upcoming Hulu series, Runaways, which they describe as being "the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other, but who must unite against a common foe — their parents." The show is being hailed as one that will explore the younger side of the Marvel Universe.

The title characters are Alex Wilder (Rhenzy Feliz), Nico Minoru (Lyrica Okano), Karolina Dean (Virginia Gardner), Gert Yorkes (Ariela Barer), Chase Stein (Gregg Sulkin) and Molly Hernandez (Allegra Costa).
