Marvel continues to wrap its customary cloak of secrecy around the plans to bring the character of Blade properly into the MCU with a new solo movie. But we are starting to learn a little more about the film, including the fact that Aaron Pierre is aboard to co-star.

Mahershala Ali is playing the title role, playing the human-vampire hybrid also known as the Daywalker, who hunters down the fang club. Beyond that, the story is a secret, though we can imagine some version of learning Blade's tragic origins and meeting the team who help him take down vamps.

Pierre joins Delroy Lindo in the movie, though both of their characters are unknown for now. Mogul Mowgli's Bassam Tariq is directing the movie, with Watchmen TV series writer Stacy Osei-Kuffour working on the screenplay.

Last seen as rapper Mid-Sized Sedan in M Night Shyamalan's Old, Pierre also appeared in Barry Jenkins' series The Underground Railroad and will voice the younger Mustafa in the director's Lion Kingprequel.
