Mark Millar's Chrononauts Head For Universal

Fast becoming his own comicbook movie mogul to rival Marvel and DC, Kick-Ass and Kingsman creator Mark Millar has just sold yet another property into screen development. His Chrononauts series has just been nabbed by Universal, to be produced by Fast & Furious honcho Chris Morgan.

Not to be confused with the card game, Millar's Chrononauts (Sean Gordon Murphy is the artist) involves a pair of scientists who become the first ever time travellers. There's not much else to reveal about it at this point, since the first issue has only just been published by Image Comics.

Along with Kick-Ass and Kingsman, Millar was the man behind Timur Bekmambetov's Wanted, and wrote the Civil War arc that's the basis for the next Captain America film. His work on The Ultimates has already been much plundered by Marvel too. Fox are currently at work on his Starlight and Superior comics.

Morgan, meanwhile, has written every Fast & Furious instalment from Tokyo Drift onwards. As a producer he's currently juggling the Mummy reboot and Legend Of Conan, for which Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise his signature barbarian.

Chrononauts doesn't have a start date yet.
