Now here's a collaboration we're excited to learn about - Michael Mann has decided to team up with ace telly creator David Milch for a series about horse racing, currently titled Luck.
Details are sketchy at present, but The Hollywood Reporter describes it as "a provocative look at the world of horse racing and gambling told through a diverse group of characters surrounding a racetrack".
As of now, it's just a pilot for US cable network HBO, but with Deadwood creator Milch behind the script and Mann (with no shortage of TV experience himself thanks to the likes of Miami Vic****e back in the '80s) directing the first show, we'd lay down some cash on the chance of the series getting picked up.
