It's won a well-deserved share of theatre awards since Alan Bennett penned the play in 2003, and now Fox Searchlight, DNA Films and the BBC have announced that they are getting behind the effort to bring it to the big screen. Fox will be handle distribution of the film, while DNA and the BBC cover the costs of production. Bennett will be converting the play to the screen himself
