Robbie & Kylie board the Magic Roundabout

In a not inconsiderable casting coup, the upcoming CGI feature film version of classic kiddie animation The Magic Roundabout has nabbed the prince and princess of pop, Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue. Joining a top class voice cast that includes the plummy tones of Joanna Lumley as Ermintrude the cow, Jim Broadbent as Brian the snail and Richard O'Brien coining Zebedee's catchphrase "time for bed", the diminutive pixie of pop herself has just finished recording Florence's lines complete with Aussie twang while Williams lends his extremely valuable vocal chords to the spaced out Dougal. Dylan the perpetually stoned rabbit has yet to be cast. In a move which may appal Magic Roundabout devotees, two new characters will also be introduced: Soldier Sam, voiced rather scarily by cinema's rough boy Ray Winstone, and ZeeBadee played by Dr Who star Tom Baker. But fans need not be too fearful
