David Lynch is to create a series of animated shorts, called Dumbland, to air exclusively on Shockwave.com. The director reveals that they will first be available in June and we can expect them to be "crude, but sophisticatedly crude." Lynch, who is already a painter and cartoonist, intends to create the animations himself. His new venture follows in the footsteps of South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who are producing a decidely rude animated series for Shockwave. Other people working on projects for the company include Tim Burton and James L. Brooks.
