Lucy Punch, still best known for her roles in Hot Fuzz, Ella Enchanted and St Trinian's, has jumped aboard the cast of Kate Hudson's new film, Earthbound.
Punch will be filling the traditional role of Best Friend And Co-Worker to Hudson's character in the high-concept comedy drama, supporting her through A) learning she has cancer and B) meeting a new love interest in the shape of Gael Garcia Bernal.
The Woodsman's director Nicole Kassell starts shooting the movie later this month in Louisiana, but frankly we have higher hopes for Punch's small role in the upcoming Steve Carell/Paul Rudd comedy **Dinner For Schmucks **and Woody Allen's You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger.
