George Clooney's derriere gets censored

It's often unpredictable what's going to get the censors' goat from one day to the next. Nevertheless, you might be surprised to learn that the latest offender is not a raunchy sex scene, nor a particularly shocking acto of violence, what has the MPAA in a twist this week is George Clooney's bottom. "But whatever can they mean?" We hear you cry, "I'm rather fond of George's shapely cheeks." As, we can assure you, are we, but that hasn't stopped Clooney's peach-like posterior from being slapped with an 'R' rating for its appearance in Steven Soderbergh's sci-fi remake, Solaris. The film is reported to have received this unexpected rating with exposure of the offending body part cited as the primary reason, meaning that any under-seventeens wishing to gaze upon George's rear must be accompanied by an equally inquisitive adult. Soderbergh is apparently refusing to remove the buttock-shot from the film and Fox are said to be appealing the MPAA's decision. Speaking to MovieHole, Clooney's publicist described the issue as "plainly ridiculous."
