An intergalactic comedy

If you call your script Little Lover Boy, don’t be surprised when studio executives are shocked it’s not actually about a diminutive lothario, but actually chronicles the misadventures of a small-time crook that steals an alien spaceship.

Rick Overton’s spec script finds a low-rent swindler abducted by aliens, who nicks their intergalactic ride and joins forces with an alien cockpit jockey for a spot of Robin Hood-alike journeying through the stars. Universal has bought the script, and while there’s no director or cast involved yet, Lover Boy has a leg up on the competition as Overton has already written several drafts.
