She's been on a run of scriptwriting jobs in the last few years (Chaos Walking among them), but Lindsey Beer is now looking to jump to directing. For her first movie in the big chair's she's targeting the follow-up to 2019's Pet Sematary remake.

Beer also worked on the script, with a previous draft by Jeff Buhler, but the plot is largely unknown right now. There was, of course, a sequel to the 1989 film (directed, like that first one, by Mary Lambert), which saw a teenager and his dad move to the recently deceased mother's hometown, which just so happens to be the place where the notorious graveyard lurks... Spookiness, as you can well imagine, follows.

This is just the latest Stephen King adaptation to hit the studio development track, this time at Paramount Players.
