Alright, he's not strictly speaking a film star but the death of Ronnie Barker marks the end of a brilliant comedy career. The veteran writer and performer, who died on Tuesday aged 76, reigned supreme on the small screen, with Porridge and Open All Hours marking him out as an actor with perfect timing. In 2004 he was honoured by the British Film and Television industry with a special BAFTA tribute award, and his show with Ronnie Corbett, The Two Ronnies, remains a landmark in British comedy with the infamous "Four Candles" sketch recently voted number 5 in Channel 4's 50 Greatest Sketches.
