So Fearless was “Jet Li’s last martial arts film”, eh? Rubbish.

It’s already a lie, as he’s officially signed up for a big budget chop socky action movie alongside Jackie Chan.

The pair is teaming up for an untitled family adventure that will be directed by Stuart Little’s Rob Minkoff and will feature action sequences from choreographer du jour Yuen Woo-Ping. There’s not much information on the plot for John Fusco’s script, but we do know that it’s loosely based on the legend of the monkey king and his attempts to gain immorality.

And apparently, it’s an “action-adventure with some martial arts sequences.” That’s still enough to give the marketing team at Fearless distributors Rogue a very long, Pinocchio-style nose. Someone’s going to have to re-label the DVDs as “Jet Li’s last-but-one martial arts epic…
