Leonardo Di Caprio's step brother was thrown in a Los Angeles jail yesterday after being accused of trying to kill his girlfriend. 28 year-old Adam Ferrar, whose mother married Leo's father when they were small children, was arrested in the Marina del Ray area and saddled with a $600,000 bail bond. However, no charges have been brought as yet.
DiCaprio was believed to by flying to his brother's aid last night, though the star's camp issued no statement. Ferrar is also an actor, who inspired DiCaprio to take up the craft after he earned $30,000 for a TV commercial. His debut film, Pups, was released in the US earlier this year - the same week The Beach hit the multiplexes. Ferrar played a heroin-addicted Gulf War vet opposite Burt Reynolds.
