Robert De Niro will soon be lending his voice to Lenny Bruce: Swear to Tell the Truth, a documentary about the legendary comedian. De Niro, not usually known for his comedy roles is, however, a big fan of the controversial and foul-mouthed Bruce. The documentary will be shown on US cable in August 1999, the 35th anniversary of the comedian's death from an overdose. Dustin Hoffman portrayed Lenny Bruce in the 1974 Bob Fosse movie, called imaginatively, Lenny.
