Two of the acting (and producing) world's rising talents are teaming up for a new romantic drama. Lakeith Stanfield and Issa Rae will star in Photograph.
Everything, Everything director Stella Meghie wrote the script for the film, which sees love stories intertwine in both the past and the present. Quite how Rae and Stanfield's characters factor into that, or how much a photograph will be part of it remains to be seen. But Meghie's script impressed Universal, which snatched up the rights and also made a deal for her to direct it.
Stanfield has been typically busy of late and has a few movies on the way including Knives Out, Someone Great and the Safdie Brothers' Uncut Gems. Rae, the creator and star of Insecure for HBO, will next show up as one of the stars of new comedy Little and most recently worked as co-star and producer for The Lovebirds.
