Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Achilles tendon injury shoved the start of production on Disney’s The Game Plan back a few months.
But the delay has given the film one advantage – Kyra Sedgwick has come onboard to play a ruthless sports agent (think Jerry Maguire meets Cruella De Vil) who doesn’t care about the daughter that Johnson’s star American Football player discovers he has as the plot unfolds.
"Kyra will add a great comedic touch to the film, and we're glad to have her on board along with the Rock's newly healed Achilles," producer Gordon Gray told Variety. "We're excited to be back on track with this movie."
Paige Turco and Morris Chestnut are co-starring and Andy Fickman starts telling them all what to do later this month in Boston.
