It's a movie that seems to have been in development for ages, with first pictures coming out at least a year ago, and now we can see some actual footage of Jack Black-starring animation Kung Fu Panda via the power of trailer, here.
This much ham usually has two pieces of bread and some mustard involved, but aside from Black's mugging intro, the cartoon is looking pretty good. As Black explains, the film sees him as a pudgy panda who must learn some mad martial arts moves to save his village from a dastardly leopard. The animation has a nice natural fluidity to to it and there's an ease to the comedy.
It's actually strange that nobody's secured Black's talents for a lead in an animation before. We shall not speak of Shark Tale, because it was terrible and he was supporting.
