Kill Willy

Keiko, the whale who starred in Free Willy, has received a number of death threats - and no, they haven't come from Norwegian fishermen. They seem to come from inhabitants of a town who lost out in the bidding war to re-house him, and who are presumably miffed at missing out on the tourists who would otherwise be flocking to their town, buying Free Willy underpants. And Willy-shaped pens and stuff. "We will stop at nothing to kill Keiko," the message said, "and it wouldn't be a bad thing if this happened during a live broadcast." That's nice. Keiko, meanwhile, is on his way from his previous abode in Oregon to a new home in a holding pen off the coast of Iceland. Let's hope he wasn't given a newspaper for the journey.
