Nicole Kidman has been tipped to star in the latest picture from Danish director Lars Von Trier. Von Trier, one of the founder members of the Dogme movement, most recently courted controversy with his love-it-or-loathe-it musical Dancer In The Dark, which starred Bjork as a blind woman accused of murder. Dogville is set in smalltown 1930s America, and the lead role was apparently written with Kidman in mind. She recently had to drop out of David Fincher's The Panic Room due to a knee injury she sustained on the set of Moulin Rouge. Production on Dogville is set for the end of the year, after Kidman has finished her role as Virginia Woolf in The Hours, director Stephen Daldry's follow-up to Billy Elliot.
