It might have sounded at one point like a Funny Or Die spoof, or something cooked up as a talk show skit. But Kindergarten 2 really does exist, Dolph Lundgren truly is the star at the trailer can be seen here{ =nofollow}.

Arriving 26 years after the Arnold Schwarzenegger original, this is not a direct sequel (in story terms at least), more a re-working of the concept The film finds Lundgren playing a similar role to his Expendables cohort in the story of a tough law enforcement type who must deal with the toughest challenge of his life: six-year-olds.

Lundgren is Agent Reed, a tough-as-nails FBI officer who is tasked with retrieving stolen data that has somehow landed up on the computer belonging to one of the moppets attending the Hunts Bay Academy school in Seattle. It's a trendy, liberal, caring-sharing place, and Reed's methods doesn't quite fit with the touchy-feely attitude. Can he survive the "little monsters" while also completing his mission? Our money would be on yes, but you'll have to wait and see. That might take a while yet though, as despite its planned US home entertainment release on May 17, there's no sign of a UK date in either cinemas or on Blu-ray yet.
