Now that Alison Eastwood is officially following in her father’s directorial footsteps, she’s nabbed a cast for her first film behind the camera.
Kevin Bacon and Marcia Gay Harden will star in Rails And Ties, which Clint will produce. The story follows two families suffering and emotional – and literal – collision when a suicidal mother parks her car – also containing her nine-year-old son – on a railway crossing and waits for the next train.
Bacon’s playing the train’s engineer, while Harden appears as his wife. Eastwood starts shooting early next year in Los Angeles.
