And so the pieces of the Pie have fallen into place: Universal has locked in the entire returning cast for American Reunion and has added one new fresh face to the franchise in the shape of 30 Rock’s Katrina Bowden.
It’s with joy in our hearts that we can announce that the vast majority of the original Pie team are back, with Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chris Klein, Tara Reid, Mena Suvari and Eugene Levy all now contracted to return. Can you believe they got Tara Reid back? It’s true!
Some have accused us of not being 100% convincing in our enthusiasm for the new Pie project, but nothing could be further from the truth. We’re actually genuinely intrigued to see what John Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg are planning to do with this one, which, as the title suggests, will check in on the gang after a few years have passed. They get back together in East Great Falls for a high school reunion and soon discover what has happened to each other in the intervening years since we saw all of them together in American Wedding. Bowden, meanwhile, will be the party-happy LA girlfriend of Klein’s Oz.
The big question now, of course is… Can they get the Shermanator back?** **Either way, **American Reunion **will be out on April 6 next year.
