Remakes might not be everyone's favourite way of coming up with a new film, but the cast for another take on Billie August's 2014 Danish-language drama Silent Heart might just make it worthwhile. Kate Winslet, Diane Keaton and Mia Wasikowska are all attached to star in Blackbird.
My Cousin Rachel's Roger Michell is directing the new film, which has Silent Heart writer Christian Torpe adapting his own work.
Keaton will play a terminally ill mother called Lily, who gathers her family around her for one last weekend before she ends her life. Winslet and Wasikowska are her daughters. The cameras will be rolling this August in London.
