Kate Joins Kevin

Following reports last week that Kate Winslet was in 'early negotiations' to join the cast of The Life of David Gale comes news that Winslet has signed the contract and will be joining the set in a few weeks. According to the Daily Telegraph, Winslet signed up on Thursday to join Kevin Spacey in this anti-death penalty drama. Set and filmed in Austin, Texas - the David Gale in question is a university professor and anti-hanging campaigner (Spacey) who has been accused of the rape and murder of a fellow campaigner - played by Laura Linney. Winslet plays a reporter who meets Spacey's character on Death Row.
