Playwright David Auburn is preparing to make his directorial debut with the previously announced drama The Girl In The Park.
And now he’s started to gather the cast. Sigourney Weaver and Superman Returns’ Kate Bosworth are in negotiations to jump aboard the film, which will see a woman traumatised by the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter 15 years ago. She’s shaken out of her painful reverie when she meets a troubled young woman, and starts to wonder if the girl is her missing child.
Auburn wrote the script and plans to start shouting action this November in New York.
