After tackling the small screen with his Amazon pilot The Cosmopolitans, writer/director Whit Stillman is taking aim at the cinema once again, and this time he’s setting up a Last Days Of Disco reunion: Kate Beckinsale and Chloë Sevigny are attached to star in his next film, **Love & Friendship{ =nofollow}.

Stillman is adapting Jane Austen’s novella Lady Susan for the film, which will see Beckinsale as widow Lady Susan Vernon who heads to the country estate of her in-laws admit much speculation about her social life. There, she makes an attempt to find a husband and to help her daughter Frederica fall in love.

Sevigny will be the heroine’s confidante, Alicia and Stillman has also rounded up James Fleet, Jemma Redgrave, Emma Greenwell, Morfydd Clark, Tom Bennett and Justin Edwards to co-star.

Love & Friendship is due to kick off its shoot in Ireland later this month, but there’s no word on when it might lands on these shores.
