Hollywood may be slowly shutting down for its Christmas nap, but the flow of trailers continues with the Karate Kid remake, starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan.
The new version transplants the story of a lad facing down bullies to China, and re-imagines Daniel-san in the form of Jaden Smith's Dre Parker.
When he's attacked by some of the local youths, Dre is saved by Mr Han (Chan), who agrees to tutor him in martial arts. Cue a montage (because, as Team America taught us, every film needs a MONTAGE) of Parker learning to fight back.
A lot has been changed around by the looks of it (hopefully enough that we won't be constantly comparing it to the 1984 pic and Pat Morita), but there's still one quick nudge at the original, with Mr Han stopping a fly. Just not in the way you remember.
