Now that we know Zack Snyder's cut of Justice League will – following a long campaign by fans – premiere on HBO Max next year, the director has been sharing new looks at his version of the movie. The latest to hit the Interwebs is a fresh take on big bad Steppenwolf the director put up at Vero.

The supervillain, who appeared in the theatrical cut voiced by Ciaran Hinds, is the main threat in the movie, looking using the three Mother Boxes that were hidden on Earth to bring about total domination. Which, naturally, is something that our heroes are aiming to stop.

Snyder's vision for the villain certainly looks more imposing, a little spikier and bigger than the character who appeared on screens back in 2017. Of course, this is a relatively low-resolution rendering of the CG effects, so we'll have to wait and see how the finished design looks and works on screen.

With Snyder scheduled to appear – virtually, at least – as part of DC's FanDome event, we can expect to see more from his edit of the movie.
