Mostly thanks to Bryce Dallas Howard's social media feed, we know that the Jurassic World sequel is now busy shooting under the direction of Juan Antonio Bayona. And the filmmaker has added a regular collaborator to the cast, taking to Twitter himself to announce that Geraldine Chaplin will appear in the film.

While we don't yet know who Chaplin will be playing (not a surprise given the cloak of secrecy around the production), she's been a near-constant presence in Bayona's feature films since The Orphanage, and most recently she cropped up as the head teacher in A Monster Calls. Will she be a bureaucrat? A parent? A Riojasaurus? Only time will tell.

The movie already boasts the returning likes of Howard and Chris Pratt (and, we figure, B.D. Wong's Dr. Wu), plus new franchise faces Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Ted Levine, James Cromwell, Daniella Pineda and Justice Smith. Story-wise, it's all a mystery for now, but there will be dino-chaos or people will be demanding their money back.

This follow-up to 2015's monster hit will be with us on 8 June 2018.
