Jurassic World: Dominion is already reaching back into the franchise's past to bring Sam Neill and Laura Dern back from the original Jurassic Park as Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler (alongside Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm, who already popped up in Fallen Kingdom). There's a third – albeit minor – character returning too, as Collider reports that Campbell Scott is on to play Dr. Lewis Dodgson.

You might recall the man from this scene in Park, where Dodgson schemed with Wayne Knight's Dennis Nedry to steal embryos from the park. Dodgson worked for InGen rival BioSyn, and in Dominion he'll reportedly be CEO of the company, which would be how he plays into the story.

Colin Trevorrow is preparing to get back to directing the film following a pandemic-mandated shutdown, with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard returning to anchor the new movies. Trevorrow wrote the script with Emily Carmichael, and while the story details are still being kept quiet, the movie will tackle the fallout from the end of Fallen Kingdom, when dinosaurs were unleashed upon the wider world.

Jurassic World: Dominion is still scheduled to arrive on 11 June next year.
