Actress Sarah Polley has gathered the cast for her directorial debut.
Julie Christie, Olympia Dukakis and Michael Murphy will star in Away From Her, an adaptation of a short story by Alice Munro scripted by Polley.
The plot focuses on Christie as the elderly, forgetful wife of a cheat, who switches her feelings to another resident of the nursing home where both live, played by Murphy. Also in the cast are Gordon Pinsent, Wendy Crewson and Kristen Thomas. Polley plans to start shooting in April in Canada.
