Julia Roberts Has Twins

No, it's not a remake of the Danny De Vito / Arnold Schwarzenegger comedy, nor is it anything to do with the Olsens. Today is in fact a day of much rejoicing for one of Hollywood's biggest stars: Julia Roberts, who gave birth on Sunday to twins, a boy and a girl. She and husband Danny Moder are understandably thrilled with the arrival of Hazel Patricia Moder and Phinneas Walter Moder, names which sound strangely normal in comparison to the fruit-themed antics of Gwyneth Paltrow and Apple, Shannon Sossamon's son Audio Science, or Jason's Lee's little Pilot Inspektor. Roberts is next due onscreen in Mike Nichols' Closer, out next week in the States. She has been largely unable to do press for the movie, due to a difficult last month of her pregnancy, but heck! Having twins ain't bad as publicity stunts go, and little Hazel and Phinneas timed their arrival well to ensure that they gave the much-praised film a further boost. Reserve publicity stunts included Jude Law's head falling off for no reason, Natalie Portman having a sex change and Clive Owen joining a Trappist monastery, so all three of Robert's co-stars are thrilled and relieved at the news of the twins' arrival. Both mother and babies are said to be doing well, so the congratulations of all here to the whole family.
