Gallup poll reflects the public taste

Julia Roberts has walked away with the annual People's Choice Award for America's favourite actress in a ceremony at the Pasedena Civic Auditorium yesterday. Chosen by a Gallup Poll - where ordinary folks voted for their favourite star and films - the Awards also honoured ex-chippie Harrison Ford, was the favourite actor in the poll of 5,000 people. Supernatural hit **The Sixth Sense **scooped two awards, for favourite film and favourite dramatic film. The film's lead Bruce Willis expressed his gratitude saying, "Thank you for giving The Sixth Sense the respect it deserved." Top telly comedy was smash hit Friends with ER bagging favourite TV drama.
