Juan Antonio Bayona Shares A Look At The Jurassic World Sequel

Jurassic World 2

Much as Colin Trevorrow did during production on the first Jurassic World, so the sequel's director Juan Antonio Bayona is providing little looks at the new movie as it shoots. The first image features a mystery young new character and some less-than-active dinosaurs.

It might not suggest much about the film yet, but it's an atmospheric shot and shows off some rather beautiful production design work that has been going on in London, where the film is shooting before the usual Hawaii location work.

Aside from Trevorrow (who produces this one, and wrote the script with Derek Connolly) hinting that the sequel will be darker and scarier than 2015's big success, not much is known about the new movie. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Wong are back, with James Cromwell, Rafe Spall, Ted Levine and Justice Smith among the new arrivals. As for the young woman featured in the picture? Nothing has been announced yet.

Jurassic World 2 (or whatever the title evolves into) will be out on 8 June next year.
