The filmmakers behind Jurassic World are gearing up the casting process, with that 2015 release date stomping towards them like a rampaging T-Rex. The latest potential visitor causing vibrations in the executive water glass is Josh Brolin{ =nofollow}.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brolin is only in early talks about the film – there are no formal negotiations going on. But the fact that his name has leaked out to the press clearly indicates that producer Steven Spielberg and director Colin Trevorrow are anxious to land his services.

Plot details are still being hidden away, but we do know that Bryce Dallas Howard is in negotiations for the lead, with** Iron**** Man 3**’s Ty Simpkins and The Kings Of Summer’s Nick Robinson locked down. Trevorrow penned the most recent draft of the script with Derek Connolly, working from earlier drafts by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. Despite recent production delays, Jurassic World should be shooting early next year in Hawaii, aiming for that oncoming June 12, 2015 release date.

Brolin was last seen in Gangster Squad and has Spike Lee’s Oldboy (December 6) and Jason Reitman’s** Labor Day** (February 7) set for release.
