He might be busy working on the new, CG-focused version of The Lion King for Disney's main feature arm, but that hasn't stopped Jon Favreau taking a quick break from directing and switching back into acting for another corner of the Mouse House's movie universe. As Ron Howard relays on Twitter, Favreau is lending his voice to Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Neither Howard nor Favreau have shared further details, so we'll have to wait and see which character he's actually providing the vocals for. Could it be one we know already? More likely it's entirely new, but since team Solo are keeping a lot under wraps, we'll probably have to wait until closer to the movie's release to find out.

Solo finds the young Han Solo (here played by Alden Ehrenreich) on one of his earliest misadventures, meeting a certain Wookiee pal, fellow moral line-walker Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and a host of new characters. It'll be out in the UK on 25 May.
