Emmy-winning actor John Spencer, best known for his role as Leo McGarry on The West Wing, died of a heart attack this weekend at the age of 58. It's a sadly ironic turn of events as this comes only a year after his character on The West Wing suffered a similar ailment only to recover and take on a pivotal role in the show's seventh season.
Outside The West Wing, Spencer was known for his role on '80s legal drama LA Law and a number of big screen parts in films such as Copland, Green Card and The Rock.
