No, John Lithgow and Hugh Dancy have not agreed to co-host a late night TV chat show, though we admit we would tune in for it very night if they did. Instead, they, alongside Reid Scott and Paul Walter Hauser, are joining the cast for new comedy Late Night, which stars Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling.

Boasting a script by Kaling (who is producing as well as starring), the film finds a late night talk show host in danger of losing her long-running chat show. The addition of her first female writer helps to revitalize both the show and her life.

Nisha Ganatra is in the director's chair for the film, and the cameras have just started rolling. Variety's story offers no information as to what Lithgow and Dancy or any of the other new additions will be doing in the movie other than acting up a storm. There's no sign of a release date for this one yet either.
