John Cleese has signed up for Rat Race, Jerry Zucker's remake of the 1963 comedy It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. This every-man-for-himself caper follows six Las Vegas gamblers in a desperate race to hunt down a $2 million hoard, hidden in a secret locker. Whoopi Goldberg is also in talks to join this fast-paced comedy.
