With Robert Luketic sitting firmly in the director’s chair, producer Kevin Spacey is starting to gather the cast for Vegas cheating drama 21.
And Jim Sturgess is the first chosen to star in the Sony film. Though he’s only appeared in one indie film (Mouth To Mouth) so far, he’s also just finished work on Julie Taymor’s musical mood piece Across The Universe and is currently shooting The Other Boleyn Girl. Spacey is likely to join him in the film, playing his mentor.
21 is adapted from Ben Mezrich’s true-life tome Bringing Down The House: The Inside Story Of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas For Millions. There’s no word on a start date yet.
