Man-Witch is one of those comedy concepts that has been bobbing around the development cauldron for ages; in this case, since at least 2005. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Jim Parsons is in talks to both star in and co-produce the movie for Warner Bros.

Once circled by the likes of director Todd Phillips and stars Zach Galifianakis and Jack Black, Man-Witch follows the presumably hilarious fall-out when a teacher discovers that he has witchlike powers. Trying to get a handle on his new abilities, he's guided by a coven of witches who pack him off to a magical school where he sticks out as the one adult man in an educational centre aimed at young girls.

Parsons, still best known for playing Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, is aiming to help develop the project and work alongside producer Neal Moritz behind the camera. With his name attached, the film might find some fresh traction, particularly if it can now snag a director.
