Fresh from scoring her first, well-deserved Oscar nomination for The Lost Daughter, Jessie Buckley is back on our screens, this time looking very haunted in the cryptic, creepy first teaser for Alex Garland's new film, Men.

Garland's return to cinema (and to studio A24) after his TV time with Devs is shrouded in mystery, but there is a little to learn about it.

Buckley plays Harper, a woman who heads on holiday to the English countryside as part of her grieving process following the death of her ex-husband (Rory Kinnear). But someone or something from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her. What begins as simmering dread becomes a fully-formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears...

In true Garland style, he's cooked up some haunting imagery and a disturbing soundscape that would probably have Ben Wheatley and John Carpenter smiling.

Men will be in US cinemas on 20 May, but a UK date has yet to be announced.
