Though he’s already booked a (working) holiday in Rome this summer to shoot Woody Allen’s** Bop Decameron**, **Social Network **star Jesse Eisenberg is looking even further ahead to possible future projects, entering negotiations to star in Louis Letterier’s magician-heist film Now You See Me.

Variety reports that Eisenberg has indicated he wants to star and is looking to make a deal, while Source Code’s Jake Gyllenhaal is currently mulling an offer to take one of the other lead roles alongside Inglourious Basterds’ Mélanie Laurent. Colin Firth, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jim Carrey and Hugh Gant have all been approached, but there's no word on whether they were previous choices or still in consideration as part of an ensemble.

The studio hired Leterrier to direct Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt’s high-concept thriller this past February, and he’s developing the tale of a group of internationally famous illusionists who moonlight as bank robbers during their acts, and spread their ill-gotten gains among their audiences. Naturally, the FBI starts to investigate, and a cat-and-mouse game develops between the top-hatted performers and the badge-sporting Feds.

Leterrier also has sci-fi disaster drama A Different Gravity on his mind, along with some serious interest in making the Y: The Last Man film adaptation work. But given how the casting is moving along with Now You See Me, it seems the thriller will be first in line.
